N stands for the ability score of the card that is using this item to craft something. Depending on the modifier, the machine or construct might be a higher level, might have some defects, might blow up after three turns...stuff like that. The first number is what you have to have to successfully make something at all.

Just so you know, the background is bugging the shit out of me cause its all pixel-y. Anyway you can fix that?
